The Booking Process

INQUIRE

Fill out our inquiry form. Be sure to go into detail about your session. Once you fill out the form we will reach out to you within 24 hours.

COFFEE OR TACOS

 We will meet up for coffee or tacos & get to know each other. Can't meet? We can always video/chat online.

03.

SECURE DATE

After our meeting, you will have the chance to secure your date by a retainer. The retainer will go towards your remainder balance.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What is your turn around time?
    Wedding sessions get next day sneak peeks! The entire gallery will be uploaded within four weeks after the wedding to a personalized online viewing & download gallery. Engagement and Lifestyle sessions will be uploaded to an online & download gallery one week after the session.
  • Do you have installment plans?
    Yes. We can make a payment schedule to fit your needs. For weddings sessions: a non-refundable retainer (20% of total balance) is due to book your session, with the ending balance due 2 weeks before your event. For portraits sessions: a non-refundable retainer (20% of total balance) is due to book your session with the remainder due 3 days before your session.
  • Some else is paying for our photos. Who signs the contract?
    For weddings: no matter who is paying for the photos, the bride and groom sign the contact. They are also our primary contact. For portraits: the adult or legal guardian of those being photographed sign the contract.
  • Can I hire an additional photographer to shoot our wedding?
    The contract you sign states that Quel Photography is the only professional photographer(s) allowed to shoot your wedding day. We can provide a quote to add another shooter for your wedding if desired.
  • Do you offer custom wedding packages?
    Not all weddings are the same! I am happy to create a customized wedding package to suit your needs. I can also create a custom portrait session for you as well.
  • Do you shoot quinceaneras, corporate events or other special occasions?"
    Yes and we would love to cover your celebration!
  • Do you deliver every image you shoot?
    No, we do not. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery.
  • My venue is very dark. How will you handle these type of situations?
    If the situation allows, we will set up additional lighting to ensure we get focused pictures. Some chapels do not allow for flash photography; and for that reason, we shoot on camera’s with superb low-light performance and lenses with low apertures
  • What happens if we go over the contracted amount of time?
    We understand that not everything goes as planned during a wedding. We never pack up before the contracted time, and moreover, we’re not leaving on the dot when the contracted time is up. Instead, we will ask you at the end of your contracted time whether or not you would like to extend. If you would like us to stay, we will charge the rates specified in your contract rounded to the closest 30-minute increment. Why do we need to charge for additional coverage? We need to charge for additional coverage primarily because there are costs of having the team stay for additional hours. The shooters and lighting assistants all require additional compensation. Furthermore, the additional photos taken will need to be post-produced which adds to our overall costs.
